Baseball Intelligence
Atala turns a full season of game data into the advanced metrics that actually decide games — and shows every player and program precisely where they rank.
What we do
Every competitive program logs its season in GameChanger. Atala reads that data and returns the advanced statistics that drive real decisions — automatically, and in a fraction of the time a staff would spend by hand.
Whiff%, CSW%, first-pitch-strike%, batting average with runners in scoring position, hard-hit%, spray distribution, and situational splits — calculated for you, not left in a spreadsheet.
Programs using Atala estimate the platform saves their staff five-plus hours of prep per game — time moved off data entry and back into coaching.
Designed by a quantitative analyst who teaches analytics and AI application at UCLA Anderson. Methodology and verified numbers — not guesswork.
Free player tools
Built for high school players. Type in the stats from your season and see where you land against Atala's 2026 varsity sample — the same percentile framework we build scouting reports on.
The sample is drawn from varsity programs Atala has charted in 2026. We're expanding it nationwide and updating it continually — if you'd like your team included, email shawn@atalafinancial.com.
For hitters
Your slash line plus the contact and discipline numbers that separate hitters.
For pitchers
The command, run-prevention, and swing-and-miss numbers scouts look at first.
About us
Atala Analytics was founded on a simple observation: the same data infrastructure professional organizations use to win already exists in high school and competitive youth baseball through GameChanger. What it lacks is the analytical layer that makes it useful.
We close that gap. Atala reads a program's full season — every at-bat and every pitch — and produces the advanced statistics, opponent scouting, and player-development teaching points that were previously available only to teams with a dedicated analyst.
The company is led by Shawn Patt, founder of a registered investment advisory firm, adjunct professor at UCLA Anderson School of Management, and author of Teaching Statistics Using Baseball. The work is grounded in a single standard: verified numbers over assumptions.
Elite programs estimate the platform saves their staff five-plus hours of preparation per game.
